About Dr. Shagun Gandhi Prajapati

For me, dentistry has always been the perfect combination of science and artistry. I chose this profession to make a real difference in people’s lives—helping them achieve optimal oral health while also giving them the confidence of a healthy smile. Oral health plays a vital role in overall well-being, and being able to contribute to both is deeply rewarding.

What I love most about dentistry is the opportunity to connect with people. Every patient brings a unique story, and I find meaning in building trust, improving health, and positively impacting lives each day. Whether I’m treating pain, restoring function, or enhancing aesthetics, I focus on delivering treatment that is not only effective but also grounded in compassion and open communication.

With nearly half of Australian adults experiencing gum disease and many more living with untreated dental decay, I believe prevention and patient education are key. My approach is to empower patients with the knowledge and tools they need to protect their oral health—because a strong, healthy smile is the foundation for overall wellness.

How I stay healthy and happy

I keep active through running, gym, and dance, while maintaining a balanced diet. True happiness for me comes from spending quality time with loved ones and making space for hobbies that keep me balanced.

How I maintain healthy teeth and gums

I brush twice a day, use interdental brushes daily, and focus on a fibrous, balanced diet with plenty of water. Consistency is the most important part of maintaining oral health.

Essential tip to keep your teeth healthy

Never skip interdental cleaning. Whether it’s floss, interdental brushes, or superfloss—daily cleaning between the teeth is essential for healthy gums and long-term oral health.
