How I stay healthy and happy
I keep sugary treats to a minimum, make time for a daily walk, and try to get proper sleep. My taste buds have made peace with cutting back on sugary treats by now.
I find happiness in the small wins, whether they are clinical or outside dentistry. For work-life balance, I treat my calendar a little like my patients’ teeth, so nothing sneaks up on me. Work stays at the clinic, while home is for everything and everyone else.
One thing people might not know about me is that I cannot swim, but I would love to race cars or motorcycles.
How I maintain healthy teeth and gums
I floss every day before I brush rather than afterwards, so nothing gets left behind. After brushing, I spit rather than rinse with water so the fluoride from the toothpaste can remain on my teeth.
I also keep sugary snacks to a minimum as part of my regular dental routine.
