What Does the CDBS Cover?

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule covers a range of essential treatments for eligible children:

X-rays – detecting hidden dental issues early
Fillings – restoring teeth affected by decay

Am I Eligible for CDBS?

Your child may qualify for the CDBS if they’re aged 0–17, your family receives certain government payments (such as Family Tax Benefit A), and you’re an Australian Medicare cardholder. No referral is needed. If your child is eligible, you can simply book a CDBS appointment with our team directly – just bring along your child’s Medicare card on the day.

What if my child’s treatment costs more than the CDBS benefit?

The CDBS provides up to $1,052 in benefits over two calendar years for eligible children. If your child’s treatment plan is likely to exceed this, our team will let you know the out-of-pocket cost upfront before any treatment goes ahead.
