Dr. Meher's tip to keep your teeth healthy
“See your dentist regularly, even when nothing hurts. Most dental problems are quiet at first, so identifying them early can make them easier to manage than waiting until they cause pain.”
Dentistry was not originally my dream career. It was a path I resisted at first, but over time I slowly fell in love with it. What drew me in was the precision, patience, and focus that dentistry demands.
Somewhere between restorations, root canals and caring for patients who trusted me when they were in pain, dentistry has become my “tool” to help patients beyond fixing a broken tooth.
What I love most about dentistry is the people. Patients can sometimes arrive feeling stressed, embarrassed or worried about their teeth. I enjoy taking the time to explain the treatment plan, answer their questions, and help them feel more comfortable during their visit.
I am here to flip that script – turning a dental visit from anxiety to trust, pain to comfort, and avoidance to confidence.

How I stay healthy and happy
I keep sugary treats to a minimum, make time for a daily walk, and try to get proper sleep. My taste buds have made peace with cutting back on sugary treats by now.
I find happiness in the small wins, whether they are clinical or outside dentistry. For work-life balance, I treat my calendar a little like my patients’ teeth, so nothing sneaks up on me. Work stays at the clinic, while home is for everything and everyone else.
One thing people might not know about me is that I cannot swim, but I would love to race cars or motorcycles.
How I maintain healthy teeth and gums
I floss every day before I brush rather than afterwards, so nothing gets left behind. After brushing, I spit rather than rinse with water so the fluoride from the toothpaste can remain on my teeth.
I also keep sugary snacks to a minimum as part of my regular dental routine.
