About Dr. Miranda Perry

I became a dentist to help people feel more confident and healthier, starting with their smiles. My approach blends thorough diagnosis, patient education, and effective treatment options to ensure that each patient leaves with a smile they’re proud of. Whether it’s a routine checkup, managing jaw-related issues, or offering cosmetic enhancements, my goal is to provide lasting solutions that support long-term dental health and comfort.

As a dentist, my values center on honesty, integrity, and kindness. I believe in empowering patients by giving them clear, straightforward advice, helping them take control of their oral health. Many patients are unaware of the long-term effects of habits like grinding or clenching, which can lead to a condition known as TMD (temporomandibular disorder). TMD impacts the jaw joints and muscles, causing pain and discomfort over time. I’m passionate about addressing these concerns early, offering treatments like custom night guards and preventive care to manage symptoms before they turn into bigger, more painful problems.

For me, the most rewarding part of dentistry is making a positive difference in someone’s life, whether it’s through preventive care that stops future issues or a cosmetic enhancement that boosts their self-esteem. With the rising prevalence of issues like TMD, I focus on early intervention and patient education, encouraging my patients to adopt healthy habits and be proactive in their care. Prevention is always better than cure, and my aim is to ensure every patient feels informed, supported, and confident in their dental health.

How I stay healthy and happy
I stay active by hiking, boxing, and exploring Sydney’s beautiful outdoor spots. I start every morning at a boxing gym, which keeps me energized for the day ahead. Whether it’s cooking new recipes, spending time with my friends and family, or traveling to new places, I believe in making the most of life and staying connected with the people I care about.

How I maintain healthy teeth and gums
I make sure to brush my teeth three times a day and have a checkup every six months. Drinking plenty of water helps too! Consistency is key when it comes to maintaining dental health.

Essential tip to keep your teeth healthy
Spit, don’t rinse after brushing! This allows the fluoride from your toothpaste to continue protecting your teeth after you’ve brushed.
