From a young age, I’ve had two major passions—art and science. Dentistry allows me to bring both together in a meaningful way that helps people every day. What I love most about my job is the opportunity to connect with patients, understand their needs, and create customized treatment plans that are tailored to their goals. For me, dentistry is not just about treating a problem—it’s about empowering patients with the knowledge and confidence to maintain their oral health.
I’m particularly passionate about helping patients who may be nervous or anxious about dental treatments. By focusing on comfort and communication, I work to change how patients feel about coming to the dentist. The trust I build with my patients allows them to take a more proactive role in their dental care, which I believe is crucial for long-term health. Given the significant link between gum disease and overall health, I’m committed to educating my patients on the importance of prevention and early intervention.
With gum disease affecting nearly half of adults over 30, the need for consistent oral hygiene and regular dental checkups cannot be overstated. My mission is to make these appointments as stress-free as possible, helping patients maintain their oral health and avoid more serious problems down the line.
How I stay healthy and happy
I love experimenting with fresh ingredients to create new recipes, but the real joy is in sharing those meals with my partner. On weekends, you’ll find me at the beach, borrowing books from the library, or tackling a fun DIY project around the house.
How I maintain healthy teeth and gums
I use an electric toothbrush and make sure to clean gently to protect my gums. I’m a big fan of interdental brushes for between my teeth, and a tongue scraper to keep my mouth feeling fresh.
Essential tip to keep your teeth healthy
If you’re only brushing and skipping flossing or interdental cleaning, you’re missing 40% of your tooth’s surface! Be sure to clean between your teeth for complete oral hygiene.
