About Dr Thiago De Araujo

I am a highly skilled and compassionate AHPRA-registered family dentist. I also bring my expertise to an urgent care setting, where I maintain proficiency in a range of pain-relieving, in-office procedures. My training has equipped me with comprehensive experience in surgery, root canal therapy, and crown and bridge, allowing me to provide holistic and personalized dental care to my patients.

As part of a family with four generations of dentists, I am deeply committed to staying at the cutting edge of dental advancements and delivering the best possible care for my patients. My previous involvement in teaching dental professionals at Sydney University about the importance of diagnosis and preventative dentistry underscores my commitment to providing precise treatment plans that prioritize long-term health.

A core principle guiding my practice is thorough diagnosis and health education. I believe in empowering patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their oral and overall health. By fostering trust and open communication, I encourage my patients to adopt healthy habits and embrace a lifestyle that supports their well-being.

How I stay healthy and happy
I’m a husband and a father to three boys, and I love spending time with my family, whether we’re traveling, doing Brazilian jiu-jitsu, playing soccer, surfing, or riding motorbikes. Staying active and enjoying different sports is important to me. I also make it a priority to maintain a good work-life balance. Being able to work out, do the activities I enjoy, and spend quality time with family and friends is a must for me. I’m always curious about both mental and physical well-being and enjoy learning new ways to take care of my health.

How I maintain healthy teeth and gums
Ensuring I have a balanced diet and brushing and flossing daily to keep my oral hygiene in check.

Essential tip to keep your teeth healthy
In addition to brushing and flossing, it’s important to see your dentist at least twice a year, even if everything feels fine. Regular visits help keep your smile healthy and catch any potential issues early, so you can avoid bigger problems in the future.
