FAQs
Do you accept the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) patients?
Yes, we gladly accept patients under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). If your child is eligible, we can provide a range of basic dental treatments such as check-ups, cleans, fillings, and extractions, with no out-of-pocket costs, up to the $1,095 limit over two years.
Not sure if your child qualifies? Just give us a call on 80076726 and we’ll help check their eligibility for you.
How long should I wait to eat or drink after getting a filling?
It depends on the type of filling you received:
- White (composite) fillings – These harden instantly with a curing light, so you can usually eat or drink right after the procedure. That said, it’s best to wait at least 1–2 hours, especially if you’re still numb, to avoid accidentally biting your tongue or cheek.
- Silver (amalgam) fillings – These take longer to fully set. You should wait at least 24 hours before chewing on that side of your mouth.
Tip: Try to avoid very hot, cold, or hard foods for the first day, and always follow your dentist’s specific instructions.
Do you offer same-day crowns in Parramatta?
Yes, we do. At our Parramatta clinic, we provide same-day crowns using advanced CEREC technology, allowing us to design, mill, and place high-quality crowns in a single visit. It’s a fast, precise, and convenient way to restore your smile without the usual wait.
How many dentists are at No Gaps Dental Parramatta?
At No Gaps Dental Parramatta, we’re proud to have a team of 7 experienced dentists. They are committed to providing high quality, personalised care to every patient. What are dental implants?
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots made of biocompatible materials like titanium. They are surgically placed into the jawbone to support a replacement tooth, bridge, or denture. Over time, the implant fuses with the bone through a process called osseointegration, creating a stable foundation for the artificial tooth. Dental implants are a long-lasting solution for missing teeth and help restore function and appearance.
Why causes gum disease?
Gum disease (also called periodontal disease) is usually caused by a buildup of plaque, a sticky film of bacteria that forms on your teeth. If not removed by regular brushing and flossing, plaque hardens into tartar and irritates the gums. This leads to inflammation, infection, and eventually gum disease.
